Concord Tennessee, so named in 1864, perhaps more in hope than in reality, since there are folks living who still won't talk to families that were aligned with the opposing side during the War of Northern Aggression. Concord changed radically when the Tennessee Valley Authority dammed the river. Much of the town, including the graveyard and the railroad line were moved up a hill. When the water is clear, parts of the old town are still visible.
We arrived late and left early the next morning, but we had enough time to scramble around and take some pictures. It was clear this Concord deserved a longer visit.
